Sustainability in talabat is embedded into the way we work, further emphasizing our commitment to the communities, partners, and key stakeholders that contribute to the success of talabat.
All our sustainability initiatives are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) most relevant to our business, forming the foundation of our three key pillars: Fostering decent work and economic growth, promoting food equity, and accessibility, and Reducing our carbon footprint.

To support decent work and economic growth, we’ve implemented Telematics across the region to help improve rider safety through better monitoring of driving behavior. This forms part of our broader Rider Value Proposition—our commitment to a safer, more reliable experience for riders.
As of March 2025, the Rider Value Proposition score stands at 4.3 out of 5, based on aggregated rider feedback on various topics related to safety.
Additionally, we have been classified as a Great Place to Work in five countries where this certification is active, retaining 95% of high performing employees. This reflects our ability to constantly attract talent on a regional level.

We continue to focus on expanding access to food by connecting users with trusted charitable partners across the region. In 2025 so far, our platform has enabled over 315,000 donations from more than 134,000 donors, contributing approximately €2.56 million in support. These contributions were made possible through our collaboration with 47 regionally approved charities and NGOs.

Understanding that most of our delivery emissions stem from tailpipes and packaging, we’ve launched an electric vehicle (EV) roadmap to scale EV adoption sustainably across the region. In the UAE, around 150 EVs are already operating in Dubai, with plans to expand further. Pilots are also planned in Oman, Jordan, and Egypt to assess feasibility and drive broader regional adoption.
To tackle emissions from packaging, we constantly support our partners in finding solutions to mitigate this impact and conduct packaging surveys to identify problem areas.
We are committed to using sustainable packaging in both our kitchens and talabat marts. We are also working towards transitioning the material used in our bags from virgin plastic to 100% recycled plastic as a further step in reducing packaging waste and emissions resulting from it.
